Offscreen doesn’t collect, store or share any personal data.

No accounts. You never sign in.
No tracking. Offscreen makes no network connections of its own: no analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting, no advertising. The only things that reach Apple are the in-app purchase (handled by the App Store) and which story is your free one (a story ID kept in your own iCloud, so it’s the same on every device).
Your files stay where you put them. Scripts are plain .fountain files that you open from, and save to, a location you choose: iCloud Drive, Dropbox (through the Files app) or your device. Offscreen reads and writes only the files you open. If you use a cloud provider, that provider’s own privacy policy applies to your files there.
Earlier versions of each script are kept on your device only, so you can go back. They never leave it.
Settings (such as text size and paper size) are stored on your device only.
No AI. Your writing is never analysed by, sent to, or used to train any artificial intelligence. The story checks run entirely on your device.
